Brian Houston holds no grudges. Despite former bandmates Jonny Quinn (ex Snow Patrol), Peter Wilson (aka Duke Special), and guitarist Iain Archer (Snow Patrol and Jake Bugg fame), having all gone on to find fame.
The renown Terri Hooley, godfather of Belfast punk, once cancelled a holiday to fund a single by Brian Houston’s band on his Good Vibrations label.
The Belfast troubadour has jammed with legend Robert Plant at ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris’s birthday party. Harris regards Houston as ‘one of Britain’s great songwriters’. Houston also opened for Van Morrison and Elvis Costello.
Houston is one of Belfast’s most consistent live club draws playing venues like Grand Opera House and the Empire Music Hall.
