Be A Guest on The Storyteller's Toolkit

The Storyteller’s Toolkit teaches one storytelling skill every week.

Solo episodes weave a traditional tale with a moment of presence and a practical craft tip. Guest episodes explore the same ground through conversation: a practitioner shares a concrete technique they use and the lived experience that taught it to them.

We love to hear from guests who can bring something a listener can immediately put to work.

What Makes a Strong Guest

We choose episodes by what the listener can take away. The guests who best suit the show bring three things:
  • A technique Something practical you use in your working life that a listener can try this week, the way you hold a room, ask a question, or listen beneath the surface.
  • A story that shows it working A pivotal moment from your own experience where something turned, including the messy parts where you felt uncertain. Your own life, client work, or a story you’ve gathered from community practice - all are welcome.
  • An audience ready to listen A community that trusts your voice, an email list, a professional network, or a room you speak to regularly

How Recording Works

The format

We record around 40 minutes of conversation and edit it into a focused 20-minute episode.

The studio

Recording takes place at The Joinery in Settle, or remotely over video if distance requires.

The reach

We publish weekly on YouTube and across all major podcast directories.

Your work

Every guest gets a dedicated moment during the episode to tell listeners where to find them, keeping the rest of our time focused purely on craft.

How to Apply
