In a world of constant distraction, storytelling is the irreplaceable art that demands presence. It builds empathy, creates culture, and helps you stop, listen, and find common ground. Since 2010, Settle Stories has been here to support that work: resources for schools, training for artists and communities, and events from Yorkshire reaching audiences worldwide.

Our events are open to everyone — from school storytelling sessions and artist workshops to community gatherings and hybrid digital events. Whatever brings you here, there is a place for you.
Over 200 curriculum-aligned stories and assembly resources, ready to use in your classroom. Save 15–20 minutes of preparation time per session.
Settle Stories is a registered charity and Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. Every donation, every membership, every sponsorship helps us reach more schools, support more artists, and preserve more stories.
We are a Yorkshire-based storytelling organisation rooted in the Dales and reaching audiences across the UK and beyond. Founded sixteen years ago, we have grown from a local festival into a year-round programme connecting schools, artists, communities and digital audiences through the power of story. As an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and registered charity, we combine rigorous creative practice with genuine community impact. Our new chapter focuses on monthly events, expanded digital programming, and heritage preservation — building something that endures.
