Shaunak Samvatsar is an award winning cartoonist, writer, graphic novelist, visual communications designer, film designer, storyboard artist, learning designer and an educator. His current cartoon series “What on Earth!” in collaboration with CEEW explores the intersection of science, policy and environment. As an illustrator he has brought to life several books for Karadi Publications and Kidz Belong. As a graphic novellist he has contributed to several anthologies as a writer and artist notably WIP comics (UK), Concrete Arcanum & This Ink Runs Cold (USA) and Verite’ series (India). His contribution to film design, production and writing is quite extensive. He was the lead Story Artist on ‘Pakdam Pakdai’ TV show (Nick India), Creative Lead on ‘Shekih Chilli’ and Friends (Discovery Kids) and “Tripura The Three Cities of Maya” (Cartoon Network).
