Burcu Macfarlane is a UK-based artist originally from Türkiye and a graduate of Istanbul Bilgi University. She have been drawing for as long as she can remember, and creativity has always been at the centre of her life.
She works primarily as a digital artist, creating illustrations and graphic design for clients around the world. After graduating, she began freelancing and gained experience across a wide range of projects, including animation, game art, and promotional materials. Over time, her focus naturally shifted towards illustration and printed works, where she found a deeper connection to storytelling and atmosphere.
Alongside client work, she continues to develop her personal practice through digital paintings and sketches inspired by surreal and otherworldly themes. She is constantly exploring new ways to refine her style and create imaginative visual worlds that feel both distinctive and expressive.
