The listening gallery

The Listening Gallery

The Listening Gallery is a world first, an audio gallery in an old telephone box.

We adopted this old BT phone box in 2017 for just £1 with a vision to transform it into a piece of public art that was FREE for everyone open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year in central Settle. Our mission was to save this piece of our towns heritage and re purpose it.

After extensive renovations made possible by the Heritage Lottery Fund the Listening Gallery was opened to the public by local historian Anne Read and our youngest volunteer Dylan Sampson.

Exhibitions change several times a year. Check out what’s on now.

Whilst you’re visiting take a 5 minute stroll to the Gallery on the Green, a visual art gallery in a restored phone box.

We’d love to know what your experience of visiting the gallery was like. Review it on TripAdvisor.
