In this story, an eagle who is raised among chickens believes it is one of them. A man, realising the eagle’s true nature, tries three times to teach it to fly from a barn, a tree, and finally a mountain. Only at the mountain’s peak, seeing the vast world below, does the eagle recognise its true identity. It spreads its wings, soars, and embraces its destiny as an eagle, not a chicken.
