Extending XR workshops are fun and interactive sessions providing free technology skills training for people in Settle! Taking place at Settle Stories, Dawsons Court, Settle BD24 9ED on 30 June, 14 July and 21 July 2026, each two-hour workshop covers a different aspect of technology: 3D scanning, basic performance capture, and creating a virtual environment. The workshops aim to help participants develop skills and confidence to present their art or work in a new way and reach more people. Focused on an overarching theme of storytelling in a virtual world, all workshops use free software that participants can download and continue to use at home and a resource booklet is provided to support continued learning. Extending XR is funded by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
All equipment is provided and both daytime and evening sessions are available (2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm)
