Every artist knows that spark – the moment an idea arrives fully alive, full of promise. But turning that spark into a sustainable arts career? That’s where many creatives feel lost, overwhelmed, or simply unsure where to begin.
Your Art is Your Business is our one-day masterclass designed to bridge that gap. Led by storyteller, producer and Settle Stories founder Sita Brand, this inspiring workshop helps artists build the confidence, clarity and practical tools they need to grow a creative practice that works – artistically and financially.
Sita has spent a lifetime working across the arts: touring internationally, producing festivals, directing performances, building a charity from the ground up, and supporting hundreds of emerging artists along the way. Her experience is as diverse as it is grounded, and she teaches with warmth, humour and deep understanding of what artists truly need.
What you’ll explore
Through friendly, hands-on sessions, you’ll learn how to structure your arts practice like a business – without losing the heart of your creativity. We cover:
By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a practical toolkit you can use immediately: strategies you can trust, language that helps you speak confidently about your work, and a roadmap towards a more sustainable, more joyful career.
What artists say
“Before attending ‘Your Art is Your Business,’ I was struggling to figure out exactly what I was selling. This training helps you simplify and understand making your art your business, and understand your own values as both an artist and an individual. It is very motivating and re-confirms why I chose to work in the arts in the first place.”
Why this course matters
Local arts communities flourish when their artists flourish. When creatives understand not just how to make great work, but how to sustain it, the entire cultural ecosystem grows stronger, braver and more resilient.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your creative journey – or if you’d like to bring this transformative training to artists in your area – we’d love to talk.
Your art has value. Your story matters. Let’s help you build the business that carries it forward.
