Barbara Houseman strives to enable and empower people to find their voice. Whether this is developing vocal ability or gaining confidence. She is passionate about helping people to gain their confidence, after going through a tough time with her own mental health. Barbara now strives to help people to find their inner and outer voice.
Barbara took speech and drama classes between the age of 5 and 19 and then went to The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she did a teaching course and fell in love with voice work and directing.
Barbara Houseman is experienced in coaching all ages (including children). She is willing to help anyone curious and eager to learn, but for this workshop you need to be ideally 16 years of age or over. She is in touch with Settle Stories through Sita Brand, who is a good friend of hers. She has done directing work for Sita Brand on one of her shows.
Through experience from interviewing Barbara, she is an approachable person, who is good at giving constructive criticism, which is delivered in a positive way.
She is experienced in the use of online platforms to get across her work, after already using the internet to do voice coaching and helping others, especially in other countries.
