Some stories are too good not to share!

We've been digging through the archives, and honestly? We're a little obsessed.

Because behind every great story is a person, and that's exactly why we do what we do. Settle Stories is built on the belief that storytelling belongs to everyone. From the voices in our own community to those travelling from far and wide, it's the people who make this magic real.

These faces, these moments: this is what it's all about.

New event alert!

Dave Tonge returns to Settle Stories on Thursday 9th April at 7pm with his show, Beguiling for Beginners.

A celebration of cunning men, cunning women, coney catching, and all manner of counterfeit craftiness.

A lone trickster wanders the road, from town to town, village to village and house to house, wearing many different disguises. Sometimes a priest, sometimes a potter, and sometimes a pedlar of wares. From pots to pardons, potions to pins, he sells them all occasionally, but always he gifts lies. His trade is deceit and he practices his craft upon the foolish, the greedy and the gullible.

If you're in Settle, we'd love to see you in person at The Joinery. Tickets start from £12.50 and are limited. You can find them here: settlestories.org.uk/whats-on-event/dave-tonge-beguiling-for-beginners-in-person-event/

If you're joining us from further afield, online stream tickets start at £5 and are available here: settlestories.org.uk/whats-on-event/dave-tonge-beguiling-for-beginners-online-event/

Everyone has a story worth telling. Yes, including you.

Not the polished version or the impressive highlights. The real moments that shaped how you see the world.

Most of us were never taught how to find those stories, let alone how to tell them with confidence. So we stay quiet. We overthink. We assume our stories don’t matter.

How to Find and Tell Your Story is a gentle, practical workshop that shows you how to recognise story in your own life and begin shaping it into something worth sharing.

🗓 Saturday 7 February | 2–4pm (GMT)
📍 Online (limited places)
💷 £15, but early bird tickets are £10 if you book before Saturday 31st Jan.

Early bird tickets are still available, but not for long. If this has been quietly nudging at you, take it as your sign.
