Story Lab

Do you want to create a strong rapport with your audience?

Learn to move away from stilted, 'well-prepared' stories and learn the art of improvisation in the tradition of oral storytelling and reinvigorate the joy of storytelling.

This collaborative day, full of high energy, fun group games and duo cooperative games will teach you new techniques from improvisational theatre to encourage your free-flowing imagination. Iwan will show you how to explore body language as a method of communication and to be more spontaneous and expressive in your storytelling delivery.

You will move away from monologue-style of telling and instead learn to not tell, but explore a story with your audience with an enthusiasm for getting up and standing out, being daring and inviting the story in.

You will go away feeling competent and equipped to meet any group, any size of audience, and respond with a delivery that will catch peoples’ imagination.

Be prepared for silly games, letting go of inhibitions and stepping out of your day to day comfort zone.

This workshop is for those with some storytelling experience.

A good level of fitness is required.
