This atmospheric evening of storytelling and music draws deeply from Irish mythology. A gripping tale of warring factions, ambitious youth, personal vendetta and family loyalties, woven between original songs, accompanied on harp and guitar. Join Nick Hennessey and Simon Heywood for a journey through the many faces of heroism, a quest to the four corners of this world and the edges of the next.
Nick Hennessey ‘a fine voice, pure and unforced’ (The Times) is a compelling storyteller, as well as a highly acclaimed singer, harpist and musician. He is fascinated by the weaving together of song and story and is the only international entrant ever to win the national singing championships in Helsinki, Finland.
Simon Heywood is ‘a gifted wordsmith who beautifully transposes story to song, combining a healthy sense of humour with a respect for mythology.’ (Ben Haggarty, Storyteller). Alongside solo storytelling performances at clubs and festivals across the UK, he lectures in storytelling and creative writing and is currently researching a world history of storytelling.
