The Joinery

A place to meet, create and share

The Joinery is Settle Stories new home.

A home to our refreshing, dynamic and unexpected year-round events and workshops. A central place for high quality storytelling, digital arts, and performance arts in the centre of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales town of Settle (it's the red roof pictured below).

Settle Stories welcomes all to use the space. We are particularly keen to engage young creatives to the space, partly through our Arts Freedom Pass where young people can access events for just £1 and through collaboration and new ideas. The space is also available to businesses and community groups for hire.

This new community resource for Settle and the Yorkshire Dales is here. Whilst in use and available for hire now, we need your help to raise £65,000 to make the space a new technically equipped multipurpose studio for established and upcoming artists. This will transform the space allowing us to increase the quality of live performance and offer new digital experiences through live streaming both in and out of the Joinery. There is the potential our work can have a global reach. Audience across the world will be able to enjoy the best of storytelling and the arts from Settle Stories.
